The other day I shared a quote with you -"Where there is woman There is magic" and after posting it I had several experiences that really made me stop and think about what this quote really means.
I have never really thought of myself as someone with magic in me but I had an epiphany yesterday when I ran into a friend who is going through some very tough times. After listening to her and sharing a few suggestions, a lot of laughs and a hug she told me that she felt so much better. Her exact words caught me off guard. She said, "Thank you for sharing your magic with me." I immediately asked her if she had read my blog and she assured me that she had not. So, yeah, maybe I do have a little magic in me to share. But so do you!
I started thinking about other women who have shared their "magic" with me. A colleague at work, a neighbor, my past office manager, the girl who loaded my bag at the grocery store. Each of these women shared a smile, words of encouragement, support. Some made me laugh, some made me cry and all of them changed my day for the better. That must be magic!
So what about you? Do you have a little magic to spare? Praise a waitress for taking care of you today, visit a lonely neighbor, offer to babysit for a friend, or just share a smile, words of gratitude or a hug. The thing about sharing magic is that it bounces right back at you and you feel as good as the one you shared it with.
