When I retired, after thirty- five years in education, I felt a bit betwixt and between. Yes, I was looking forward to traveling and to sleeping in past my normal six a.m. rising time. However, as someone who had always kept herself very busy, I was not content to just sit around and relax. I felt as if I had so much to share with young parents, so I wrote a number of parenting books on topics from bullying to the importance of helping children with their homework. They are all available on Amazon.com under these titles: The Bully Maze, Homework Hang-Ups, Bath, Book & Bed and Parent/Teacher Conferences: What Every Parent Should Know.
As much as I enjoyed this venture, I had a strong desire to let my imaginative juices flow and soon ventured into the world of writing fiction. I focused my first series, The Witches of New Moon Beach, around a quaint beach city - similar to my own. I am pleased to tell you that I completed five books in the series: Morning Magic, Night Flight, Midnight Madness, Sunset Spells and Sea Dreams. I also wrote my first cozy mystery - Murder By Magic. After traveling in Europe I added to my collection, writing The Witch of Bergen.
Inspiration was not hard to find as I have lived at the beach my entire life and New Moon Beach might just have more than a passing resemblance to my hometown of Redondo Beach, California. Every day I walk on the path that runs along the beach, sometimes with my husband or sisters, but most often alone with my thoughts as I plot out my next book. I am long married and mom to three great grown kids and now three beautiful grandbabies!
When I'm not writing or walking on the beach, you'll find me sewing, reading, traveling and taking pictures or just enjoying my beautiful grandchildren. Sewing and writing have become my dual passions and I never seem to have enough time for either! When I'm not writing or sewing I'm dreaming up my next project, If you check below, I’ve shared with you a few of my crafts and several of my favorite photos that I've taken.
I'm in the finishing stages of my latest four book series - The Reluctant Witch. It's about four sisters who learn that they have more than a little magic in their blood. Follow Magenta, Charlie, Jodie and Teddy as they figure out how to live normal lives as magically enhanced women. Magenta and Charlie are out now and the other two girls will follow soon. If I could just keep myself buckled down to my desk chair I'd be done. Unfortunately, the sound of waves often lures me to the beach and my writing duties falter! The sea can be such a temptress!
Thanks for stopping by my site. I hope that you take a moment to drop me a line or offer up a book review. I read them all!
Have a wonderfully magic day!

This is a fun castle with two dolls, a unicorn and a bunny for my granddaughter.
I also made mermaid tails for the dolls to change in to.

I took my own wedding gown apart and made a dressing gown for my soon to be married daughter. Unfortunately, the satin fabric from my gown was just too heavy and made it too warm for her to wear as a dressing gown on her special day.
Ugg! Good thing I hadn't finished putting the lace on the bottom yet. Time to rework my original idea.
Wherever I go I always take pictures.
These are just a few of my favorites.
